What You’ll Experience

Nourishing Whole Foods

Organic, locally-grown and lovingly prepared with you (and your dietary preferences) in mind. What we can’t grow at Nelson’s Run is sourced from Lunarise Harvest in nearby Wundowie. Be confident in knowing that you are being kind to your body and soul, while supporting small organic farmers!

Restorative Yin Yoga

A guided and gentle style of movement allowing you to switch off, slow down and rest in supported poses, supported by soothing music. We use cushions and blankets to ensure maximum comfort and relaxation in our rustic studio, complete with the magic of solar-powered temperature control.

Personal Growth Workshop

Come together to consider, reflect and share on topics that help create a happier you! Nikk has 15 years experience as a facilitator and mentor, and is warm, generous and insightful in her approach and methods. She will tailor an impactful experience for the group, providing a safe space to share ideas.

A Small Group

Here at Nelson’s run, we only host small groups of up to 6 people at our retreats. This allows Nikk and Kirsty the time and space to take extra special care of you! We are warm and friendly and love to offer a relaxing, enjoyable and quality experience for all of our guests. A smaller group also allows for quality conversation and connection.

Time On Our Property

Our property is complete with cuddly alpacas, goat kids and happy chooks! We run our mini farm based on permaculture principles. We manage all our own food and green waste, plus we love a good DIY project with recycled materials! We’re tucked alongside a beautiful state forest, offering a serene outlook.

The Beautiful Avon Valley

We are only an hour’s drive from Perth. Toodyay and its surrounds are a stunning part of WA with lots on offer to enjoy! Stay for the weekend and enjoy shopping and coffee in Toodyay, or visit the Wheatbelt towns you’ve always meant to get to. We’d be delighted to share our accommodation recommendations.

Kind Words

“Such a relaxing, empowering beautiful day, I would recommend Nelson’s run for anyone who would like to reconnect with themselves and take some time to rest and reflect,” Margaret.

“I was gifted a retreat at Nelson’s Run. Such a special, gentle, lovely and restorative time. Hosts Nikk and Kirsty were very welcoming and provided a gorgeous brunch. Wonderful!” Christina.

“I started with a private lesson and it was wonderful. Best thing I could’ve done. Have returned weekly and get an enormous benefit from each session. Nikk is very patient, kind and thoughtful. I leave feeling calm, relaxed yet energised. Just the most wonderful experience,” Jenni.

FAQs

What if I’ve never done yoga before?

You’re in for a treat! The yoga we will do together comes with instruction, demonstration and 1:1 support wherever you need it. This day is designed for rest and relaxation, and the practice is gentle and nurturing. This retreat is also suitable for beginners or those with limited mobility.

What happens if I can no longer attend the retreat?

If you are unable to attend your booked date, please contact us as soon as possible and we can discuss a reschedule. Please note however, we have a 14 day cancellation policy after which a 50% refund is available, but refunds are no longer available for cancellations less than 7 days out from the event. You can always transfer your ticket to a friend, right up to the day of the event.

What is the personal growth workshop going to involve?

On the booking form you’ll have the chance to select from a few topics that are interesting or important to you. Nikk will then craft something that reflects the group of people coming, the seasons and what’s happening in the world. The workshop will include a mixture of discussion, activities and quiet reflection time. You can opt to actively listen in the discussion too.

I can’t eat dairy and gluten, is there anything I can eat?

Absolutely! Everything provided will be organic and vegetarian, with plenty of vegan and gluten-free options too. This is how we eat every day at Nelson’s Run and we love sharing beautiful healthy food with others!
